Ranbir Kapoor : I Have A Boy Crush On Alia Bhatt Now | Bollywood Relationship Finally Confirmed
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who are currently shooting for Ayaz Mukherji’s much-awaited film Brahmastra, are touted to be the ‘hook-up’ of 2018. While Alia has always had a huge, huge crush on him and has even gone on record about wanting to marry him, Ranbir has never really acknowledged her love except for praising her for her acting skills.
But things seem to have escalated after their couple-appearance at Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja’s wedding reception. In a recent interview with NDTV, on being told that it’s a dream come true for Alia to work with him, the 35-year-old actor said, “Well, I have a boy crush on her now.” Well, his statement obviously got a quick “aww” from Alia’s mentor Karan Johar (also the producer of Brahmastra), who was with Ranbir in New Delhi to announce the 19th IIFA weekend in Bangkok.
When asked to comment on Alia Bhatt’s latest release Raazi, the actor said, “I watched the film one week before release and it blew my mind it’s one of the greatest films ever made in Indian cinema.”
Stories of Ranbir and Alia’s growing closeness have been sending the rumour mills into an overdrive for a while now. Back when she was yet to make a mark in Bollywood, Alia was very vocal about her massive crush on Ranbir and had even expressed her desire to marry him.
Now that the two very good-looking actors are single and finally working together in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, speculation is rife that there is a romance brewing. When designer Manish Malhotra predicted on a chat show that Ranbir and Alia will be the “hook up of 2018”, it only set tongues wagging further.
Meanwhile, Alia has been bonding with Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor. Just a few days ago, their social media love sent fans and the media into a tizzy. Reports suggest that Neetu is extremely fond of Alia, and has taken a liking to her like no other female friend of Ranbir’s.
Interestingly, Alia is best friends with Ranbir’s ex-girlfriend, Katrina Kaif. Whispers were doing the rounds that their friendship had soured because of Alia’s closeness with Ranbir, but Karan Johar put an end to the rumours when he shared a selfie on Instagram, which Alia and Katrina in the same frame.
