Meghan Trainor is months into her pregnancy, but she is still nervous over this one thing about having her first baby with her husband, Daryl Sabara.
In an interview with Philadelphia radio station B101.1, the “Dear Future Husband” singer shared that she only needs her mom to be with her in the delivery room… something that might not be able to happen due to safety precautions established amid the pandemic.
The 26-year-old explained, “I’m scared of birth and, like not being able to have my mom in the room,” “‘Cause, like they can barely let your husband in the room, but I’m like, ‘but I need my momma…I just need my head rubs, how do I do this?'”
Meghan also shared that she and Daryl planned to have a baby in quarantine for a special reason.
“We’re so excited, and we planned it out so that when I tell people that it’s scary to go to my appoints alone they’re like Well don’t have a baby in quarantine,'” she said. “I just didn’t want to travel so much when I was pregnant and I knew this was a time when I could stay home and elevate my feet. Some appointments my husband got to go to and some he didn’t, but those appointments the doctors were very nice to me and set up a whole FaceTime.”

The Grammy winner said that there was just one “bump in the road,”, and that was her diagnosis of gestational diabetes. She discussed the health issue o n the Today show earlier this month.
“Got a little tiny bump in the road—I got diagnosed with gestational diabetes, but it’s manageable and it’s okay. And I’m healthy and the baby’s healthy,” explained the artist of All About That Bass” “I just have to really pay attention to everything I eat.”
In addition to getting ready for motherhood in quarantine, Meghan has released a new album, titled A Very Trainor Christmas, which she worked on with members of her family. With a little boy on the way, l et’s hope he is as musically inclined as the rest of the clan!
