Singer Mika Singh is upset with Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut for misidentifying an elderly Sikh woman, who had joined the farmers’ protest, as Bilkis Bano of Shaheen Bagh.
“I used to have immense respect for @KanganaTeam, I even tweeted in support when her office was demolished. I now think I was wrong, Kangana being a woman you should show the old lady some respect. If you have any etiquette then apologize. Shame on you,” Mika tweeted from his verified account.
On Thursday evening, Mika’s tweet came in response to a tweet by Kangana alleging that ‘Shaheen Bagh dadi’ had also joined the agitation of farmers at various border points of the National Capital Region over the new farm laws.
The actress said in her tweet: “Ha ha ha she is the same dadi who featured in Time magazine for being the most powerful Indian… And she is available for 100 rupees. Pakistani jurno’s have hijacked international PR for India in an embarrassing way. We need our own people to speak for us internationally.”
Mika’s tweet came after Kangana engaged in an ugly Twitter fight with actor Diljit Dosanjh over her misidentification of the elderly lady on Thursday.
The singer starts by replying to Kangana’s tweet in which she mentions being targeted by Javed Akhtar, the Government of Maharashtra, and other groups. He is asking the actress about her real target. In addition, Mika adds that she is a beautiful girl who should concentrate on her acting. He also questions the purpose behind the sudden urge of patriotism within her. He then writes, “You can join us, we provide 5 laks of meals every day to the needy people aap sirf 20 logo ke liye kuch kardo.. sherni banna aur vo bhi sirf news pe and twitter pe tau koi badi baat nahi… But I’m your big fan anyway.
He shared another tweet a few hours later, which was meant for all those who are indulged in the farmer protests. Mika Singh writes, “I request all my Punjabi brothers to calm down, please. We’re not here to focus on @KanganaTeam. I have no personal problems with @KanganaTeam. She made a mistake and faced the reaction. Even though she hasn’t said sorry she deleted her tweet. Post that he slams her again in a separate tweet while stating that she can get away after targeting soft people in Bollywood, but same is not the case in the current situation.
Although Diljit received the support from many Bollywood celebrities, actor Gulshan Devaiah took a dig at Kangana without naming her.
Gulshan tweeted from his unverified account, “I prefer Diljit Dosanjh vs Alexa. Alexa didn’t understand s**t but was at least civil about it,”
